Virtual A Go Go Alpha Test

We have just launched the first alpha test of our Virtual A Go Go. It’s primarily for testing the internet connection (which we will upgrade) and some technical issues.
It will be a closed test, but the Beta test will be a public one.

ALPHA TEST NOTICE:

We are aware of the following:
- Quality is very poor at the moment due to the CPU being overloaded (We have ordered a high-end spec computer to replace the current one, which should arrive around the 7th of November, but hey…this is Thailand).

- Bandwidth is low (We are going to order a internet connection upgrade).

- Lightning conditions are very poor and it’s hard to see any details and the camera is too far away from the dancers, we are remodeling our third floor exclusively for the Virtual A Go Go where we will have amplified lighting and a own computer for the dancers to use for chatting with you. While this is undergoing we decided to use the 2nd floor as a simple test.

- Lack of music and sound, the current microphone can’t handle the loud volume and being next to the speaker, the vibrations from the bass is too much.
We will order a higher quality microphone that can withstand the treatment.

We didn’t really want to start the public testing yet, but we decided it’s needed in order to test the traffic and bandwidth issues.

For those customers who worry about being spotted on the camera when visiting the bar, please note that we ONLY RUN THE WEB CAM stream during the testing phase when we close off the 2nd floor. When we have finished the 3rd floor remodeling, the camera will be moved away. Under no circumstances will you need to worry about other people can see you visiting the bar.

NOTICE: THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR THE FINISHED PRODUCT WE’LL OFFER. PLEASE DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CHOPPY FRAME RATE, LOW QUALITY or LACK OF LIGHTNING.

To give an idea of the improvement of our product once the new computer arrives,

The current stream captures at a resolution of 640×480 and runs at around 2-5 fps at most. With the new computer we’ll be able to capture at 1920×1080 and 30fps.
The motion of the dancers will be fluid and “non-choppy”.
